Why I’m Running:
At this time in our city and nation’s history we’re in dire need of people who can bridge and heal divides instead of exacerbating them. It’s time for leaders to take a new approach in confronting the pressing issues facing our city and region. I hope to do this without playing into the toxicity promoted by some of our nation's leaders.
Our current public health crisis has magnified the need for active and engaged leadership from local governments. By working collaboratively on the range of issues facing our community I truly believe we can build a city and region where everyone can thrive.
As your city council member I aim to bring a new culture of accessibility, transparency, and engagement to City Hall. I look forward to sharing this vision with voters in our community, and I hope I can earn your support come Election Day!
A lifelong resident of Arden Hills, I’ve always valued all that our community has to offer. My three siblings and I attended Mounds View Public Schools K-12, and experienced firsthand our community’s top notch school systems. I graduated from Mounds View High School in 2014 while active in multiple sports. Outside of Mounds View I earned my Eagle Scout Award in 2013, and found myself involved with multiple community service projects. After high school I went on to study my undergraduate degree in political science and history at Hamline University while running track and field.
Following school I've continued pursuing my interests in government and public service. I’ve worked on several state legislative campaigns, as a political associate for a national democratic reform organization, and most recently as the Government Affairs Director for a local realtor association. In doing so I've seen how elected officials should be advocates for their constituents, and have built valuable relationships with local and state officials. I intend to pursue a master’s degree in public administration this fall.
